Four Days on the Water.
Five Nights in the Lowcountry.
A private fly fishing getaway with Capt. Tuck Scott and a team of experienced local guides. Shallow-water redfish, comfortable downtown accommodations, and time to settle into Beaufort.
Oct. 24-29 2027
Come fish our home waters.
Spend four full days exploring the tidal creeks and shallow flats around Beaufort, with five nights to enjoy everything that makes the Lowcountry special.
Each morning starts with breakfast before heading out with your guide. Two anglers share each skiff, taking turns on the bow while your captain poles through the marsh in search of redfish. Lunch is packed for the boat, and the day's plan follows the tides and conditions.
Back in town, unwind on the porch, swap stories from the water, and walk to dinner at one of Beaufort's local restaurants. This is a trip built around your group, with Tuck handling the details.
Sight fishing in the Lowcountry.

Redfish are the focus. Your guide will look for opportunities on shallow flats, along grass edges, and in tidal creeks, choosing the water that offers the best fishing for the day's tide, weather, and season. Spotting a fish, getting into position, and making the cast are all part of the experience.
Bring your own favorite outfit or use your guide's gear. Rods, reels, lines, leaders, and flies are available, and Tuck can help you prepare before you arrive. Whether you're new to saltwater fly fishing or have spent years on the bow, we'll tailor instruction to your experience.

Time to Improve
Four days give you time to settle in, work on your cast, and build on each day's experience.
Five nights in downtown Beaufort.
Our planned home base is 607 Bay Inn, a historic inn overlooking the Beaufort River. Each guest has a private room with a private bathroom, with downtown restaurants, shops, and galleries a short walk away.
The porches offer a comfortable spot for morning coffee or an evening drink after fishing. Arrive the afternoon before your first fishing day, stay five nights, and depart the morning after your fourth day on the water.
Lodging is subject to availability and will be confirmed with your trip proposal.

A few helpful details.
What should I bring?
Polarized sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, a rain jacket, layers appropriate for the season, comfortable boat shoes, and any personal medications. Pack lightly for the skiff. Tuck will help with a packing list for your dates.
Can I bring my own tackle?
Absolutely. A 7–9 weight fly rod is a good starting point. Check with Tuck about lines, leaders, and flies for your dates before packing. Your guide also has gear available.
Should I practice casting?
Yes. Time spent practicing accuracy, quick presentations, and casting in the wind will help you make the most of your fishing days. Tuck can help you decide what to work on before the trip.
How are meals arranged?
Breakfast and boat lunches are included on fishing days, along with beverages and a welcome reception on arrival. Dinners are paid separately, with downtown restaurants close to the inn. Please share food allergies or dietary needs when planning your trip.
How much should we tip our guide?
A suggested gratuity is $120 per boat, per day, split between the two anglers. For four days, that comes to $240 per angler. Gratuities are paid separately from the trip price.
What happens if the weather changes?
Your guide will adapt the fishing plan to conditions and make the call on safe operation. The booking proposal will outline weather, cancellation, deposit, and final-payment terms before you reserve.
Can we customize the trip?
Yes. Let Tuck know your preferred dates, group size, experience level, and any special requests. The final proposal will confirm dates, availability, accommodations, and any requested changes to the package.
